SPGA Engages Cascade Primary School in Interactive Education Session

The Seychelles Parks and Gardens Authority (SPGA), through the Bio-Bridge Project in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, recently conducted an interactive education and awareness session with students of Cascade Primary School.

The session highlighted how technology can be harnessed to collect environmental data while raising awareness about local biodiversity and the threats posed by invasive species. Students actively participated in simple monitoring activities and learned how to input their findings into specially designed electronic forms, gaining hands-on experience in environmental data collection.

The Bio-Bridge Project aims to foster long-term technical and scientific cooperation, enhance situational awareness, and strengthen knowledge-sharing in support of conservation efforts. A key component of the initiative is community engagement—empowering local communities through advocacy, education, and awareness campaigns.
