SPGA and SIF Unite for Praslin National Park Clean-Up
To commemorate this year’s national Clean-Up Campaign, the Seychelles Parks and Gardens Authority (SPGA) Praslin team joined hands with representatives from the Seychelles Islands Foundation (SIF) for a collaborative clean-up in Praslin National Park.
The activity focused on removing litter along the forest boundary, reinforcing the shared commitment to protecting Seychelles’ natural heritage. Such clean-ups are part of SPGA’s ongoing efforts to maintain the ecological integrity of its protected areas — ensuring they remain safe, clean, and welcoming for both wildlife and visitors.

“This campaign is more than just a clean-up,” said the Inner Island Coordinator, Mrs. Vicky Athanse. “It’s a reminder that conservation begins with care — and that every action, no matter how small, contributes to a larger impact.”
SPGA conducts such clean-ups regularly across its network of parks and reserves. These efforts reflect a broader vision of participatory conservation, where stewardship is shared and sustained.
We invite everyone to be part of this movement. Whether it’s picking up litter, joining a future clean-up, or simply spreading awareness — together, we can protect what makes Seychelles extraordinary.
