National Botanical Garden Welcomes Vice President of China
On Saturday, 28th March, SPGA had the honour of welcoming the Vice President of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Mr. Han Zheng to the National Botanical Garden.
H.E. was warmly received by Minister Marie-May Jeremie, SPGA CEO and Deputy CEO, Principal Secretary Nanette Laure, and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Seychelles, Ms. Lin Nan.
During the guided visit, the Vice President and the delegation experienced first-hand the Garden’s rich diversity of flora, including the iconic coco-de-mer, with the visit concluding with an engaging moment with the Aldabra giant tortoises.
This visit stands as a testament to the longstanding and fruitful partnership between Seychelles and China. For SPGA, it was a proud opportunity to showcase the Garden’s extensive biodiversity and to further strengthen the collaboration that has flourished over the years.
