Aldabra Giant Tortoise Census - H Savy Insurance Company

Our latest group of volunteers from H Savy Insurance Company recently joined us for the Aldabra Giant Tortoise Census on Curieuse Island.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants for their incredible effort and energy towards protecting one of Seychelles’ most iconic species.

Covering the main area of Baie Laraie, the team recorded an impressive 60 tortoises. While this achievement is remarkable, several tortoises are yet to be counted due to time limitations. Our Research team will now embark on a field mission to ensure every individual is recorded and tagged, strengthening our understanding of the population health.
