SPGA Welcomes Thai Ambassador and Strengthens Ties

The Seychelles Parks and Gardens Authority (SPGA) hosted Her Excellency Ms. Morakot Janemathukorn, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Seychelles, at its headquarters on Tuesday, 13th May 2025. The visit marked a pivotal moment in reinforcing bilateral collaboration in horticulture and environmental conservation, building on the nations’ shared vision for ecological sustainability.

Accompanied by Ms. Alexandra Benoiton, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand in Seychelles, and Mr. Thitiwoot Techapun, First Secretary of the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi, Ambassador Janemathukorn engaged in productive discussions with the SPGA leadership, led by the CEO; Allen Cedras, Deputy CEO; Ms. Lya Docteur, Gardens General Manger; Mrs. Nathachia Einfeldt and Biodiversity Centre Manager; Mr. Damien Doudee. Key talks centred on enhancing existing partnerships, with an emphasis on advancing joint initiatives in horticultural innovation and ecosystem preservation.
